Cierre Imbottiti - Italy. Cierre are an Italian family run brand who are designers and makers of leather furniture. We are extremely proud to be official dealers of Cierre Imbottiti. Founded 1960’s by Romano Conficconi, a young man from working class family, who upholstered chairs in the basement of their family home for nearby large furniture companies. Romano enjoyed this work so much that he later found a larger warehouse and together with his wife Cesarina formed Cierre. The company has grown from strength to strength, recently celebrating their 50th anniversary and today Romano and Cesarinas 3 children, Alberto, Stefano and Varinia, now all play pivotal roles within the company.
Cierre promoted the concept of “Living in leather” by expanding the range of home furnishings to include more than just sofas, creating models for living rooms and for sleeping.
What we love about Cierres designs is that they are timeless. More recent designs from Cierre, in celebration of their 50 years, have an iconic retro vibe, which we have really enjoyed working with at Fig! The colour palettes of various leathers, nubuck and surfaces are especially mouthwatering! From peaches, burnt oranges, to dark muted reds and the Fig favourite, taupe Nubuk! Cierre have dining tables and chairs, beds, and occasional pieces, which we at Fig will regularly add to our design stories and curated collections, displaying our appreciation to the pure talent of Cierre.
We love the refined elegant look of the Vogue collection, inspired by the iconic era of the 1960’s. Available as a sofa, modular arrangement, coffee tables and curio bench, we at Fig feel the Vogue is definitely a stand out collection. With its straight lines and sleek legs, that almost give a floating appearance, the combination of the carefully curated colour palette and chalky tactile textures of of the Nubuk and natural velour, makes this collection irresistible and timeless.
