Sustainability Fig Atelier - Eco Friendly Wallcoverings
Reuse of water - Rainwater is recovered and used in the production process. By 2024, 50% of waste water will be treated and reused for production

Why we love it

We love the unique characteristics of the natural fibres such as Jute, Cork, Seagrass and Capiz Shell. We believe the organic imperfections add to the beauty of our collection of natural wallcoverings. The wallcoverings are so tactile and really cosy up living spaces and add another layer of interest. We especially love the Capiz shell wall covering which has an interesting weave pattern made from shimmering Capiz shells. The shells are selected by hand from the shores of the Philipines where peices of the broken shells are washed up, they are then cleaned and expertly crafted in Europe to retain their natural beauty.

Reduced Wastage & Recycled Materials

To decrease waste, every order is custom cut. No minimum or fixed increments. All our non-wovens contain 50% or more recycled fibres and many of our natural wallcoverings are made with recycled content. Latest development: A non-woven collection with 100% recycled fibres.

No PVC or harmful chemicals
We work exclusively with water based printing pastes, without PVC, solvents, formaldehyde or heavy metals. Renewable energy - All products are made in Belgium are manufactured with solar energy. FSC certified partners. All non-woven products respect the principles of responsible forestry
